Christmas Artisans on Merrion Square

I spent some dreamy twilight time at the Irish artisans market at 45 Merrion Square this weekend, as part of the Christmas on the Square festivities.

The Irish Architectural Archive, at number 45, were but one of the many institutions who opened their elegant Georgian doors to the public, coordinated by Merrion Square Innovation Network.

The lovely ladies from Winnie's Wool Wagon supplied enormous knitting equipment for demos, which I gladly had a go of, and even teamed up with a new friend for some team giant knitting!

Makers of artisan foods, candles and cosmetics joined other crafters using materials from wood to wool for the eclectic event, soundtracked by This Greedy Pig

Autumn colour in the Dublin hills

A wander in the Dublin woodlands with my love.

Spruce, heather and freaky little lichen lads gave many tones and textures.

We walked on a squishy bed of fallen pine needles. It smelled great.
